01/29/2022 Collected and organized by Valmeek Kudesia
Make Data Accessible
Bring enough of important data to a single "place"
Deploy good-enough governance to reduce errors and confusion
Democratize access to data
Design use of data and system as an enabling environment
Quickly provide view of semi-raw data relevant to role in organization and leads to visibly improved performance
Align sophisticated uses of data with desired clinical identity
Make governance process ready to incorporate feedback from many consumers
Mature governance as data use and feedback grow
Focus on the Individual
Ensure data is aligned with role
Make clear that use of data is expected in role
Provide training and coaching to meet individuals "where they are" in data fluency
Cultivate embedded champions or ambassadors
Aim to raise data fluency of everyone at least a small amount
Aim to raise data fluency a large amount for individuals with some preexisting data fluency
Start Conversations About Data
Cultivate environment where data is valued as primary vehicle for decision-making and learning (experience + intuition = context)
Contextual positioning of data e.g. storylines, workflows
Safe place where data starts conversations; it doesn't end conversations
Cultivate a Data-Informed Community
Driven by engaged individual
Use of data during day-to-day is unavoidable
Individuals collaborate on challenges and share learning
Org is deliberate with changes and post-change monitoring
